The Artist

I'm a self-taught visual artist from Brooklyn NY. My artwork is an extension of my experiences and the influences of people of color that have shaped and molded me into the man I am today. I want my work to reflect my culture and heritage. I use acrylic on canvas which allows me to be versatile in my approach to produce and express with many colors, layers and textures.  I'm drawn to images that lack luster and expression and transform them into works of art that convey a story, an emotion or a mood. I love capturing and celebrating the beauty that represents us as a people and depicting the rich tapestries of our diaspora.  My story is more about identity and showcasing where we come from and honoring our BIPOC ancestry and culture. I believe art is for anyone who can understand and identify that representation is an important part of our growth and development  as human beings that should be accessible to all.
