Welcome to my creative space.
This creative process transforms a traditional pencil drawing into a digital artwork by seamlessly integrating geometric shapes. It begins with an original drawing created on regular paper using a pencil. This tactile drawing is then scanned into Procreate, a digital illustration application, bringing it into a digital format. Once in Procreate, the artist adds geometric shapes directly into the design, carefully incorporating them into the existing drawing. The final step involves refining these elements to create one cohesive piece of art, blending the organic lines of the original drawing with the precision of digital geometry.
This digital art piece intricately weaves together significant cultural symbols, evolving from an initial pencil drawing into a profound statement on heritage. The artwork powerfully unites four distinct elements: the vibrant "Los Joyeros" mask from Dominican culture, alongside the iconic African gorilla head and the agile African cheetah head. Completing this rich tapestry is the African woman's head, symbolizing the universal "mother of all" and representing the foundational strength of ancestry. Through this careful convergence of imagery, the piece serves as a visual ode, celebrating and honoring the deep-rooted Dominican and African lineage in a singularly compelling digital format.
